Yes, that's a safe thing to do, but neither of those will fix your
problem.  To stop the complaining cron job, just remove
rhn-virtualization-host:

rpm -e rhn-virtualization-host

As /etc/cron.d/rhn-virtualization.cron and
/usr/share/rhn/virtualization/poller.py are the source of this behavior.
 If you just remove the things its trying to poll, you'll continue to
get messages, just different messages.
