[rhn-users] yum upgrade

Clifford and Nate,
The problem has resolved.
On our case, when we do yum upgrade now, the machine not only calls
xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com (209.132.183.44), but also needs communication with
machine 96.6.74.196.
After our firewall opened for both machines 209.132.183.44 and 96.6.74.196,
the yum upgrade worked.
Since we bought the support (rhn upgrade) from Dell, I have no case number
at Redhat side. I can't update their side info.
Thanks,
Xiaoxu

Hi there,
Please can you contact Red Hat support in regards to this issue.
Connection refused messages could have been from RHN if it was down at
the time. It is also possible that you have a network/firewall issue or
something like a miss configured option for the yum-rhn-plugin
connecting to RHN. Our support team could help troubleshoot the cause.
Regards,
Clifford.
