<html> <body> Hi, I recently purchased RHEL 3 WS in order to build a C dynamic library for a client who is running Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon) . I built the library and sent it to them. When they built and ran their program, it crashes. When they did a ldd on the executable, they see <blockquote type=cite class=cite cite=""> <dl> <dd> ldd a.out <dd> libintexcmo.so => not found <dd> libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/libm.so.6 (0xb75bd000) <dd> libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0xb75ba000) <dd> libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0xb7483000) <dd> /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb75eb000)</blockquote> </dl> I looked on my system and noticed that I did not have a /lib/tls directory. When they do the following: <blockquote type=cite class=cite cite=""> <dl> <dd>LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1</blockquote> </dl> the program works!! It seems like it has something to do with these /lib/tls run time libraries and my question is where do I find these? They don't seem to be installed on my side.
