I don't know if it will help but you could try booting off of the floppy drive. ;-) I do have a floppy drive. The computer will also boot from a USB memory drive. Can you point me to a web page with instructions for making either work? (I haven't been a able to find anything useful in my searches.) E-IDE to be exact. It's a LITE-ON LTC - 48161H.
