Can anyone tell me what cluster manager do when it assign an IP adress

I have problem running my application on the physical node when the service
with the floating ip is running on the node. It seems like the cluster
manager is doing something to the routing table or similar (but it is not
displayed when checking with netstat -rn)</font><font size=3> <br>
