It is using the redhat EL server install set. The windows network we have it on is not very sophisticated. A mix of all windows versions hitting a windows fileserver primarily for user identification and file storage. All of the XP boxes work fine accessing the redhat server - http. The problem: All of the 98 and w2k boxes cannot find it via IE. Virtual name and IP fail. Now then - what does work: ping Virtual Name and IP works. ftp Virtual Name and IP works. ssh Virtual Name and IP works. Why would HTTP fail? Thanks. <>Bill Sparkman (sparky) </> </body> </html>
