For me, I don't care if red hat see my stuff. I'm trying to off set my IT costs by partnering with my vendor (red hat) through their hosted site. I use the satellite simply because I don;t want all my hosts connected to the internet and I'd like to have a local repository of custom patch sets and content. Thus I'd like my satellites to be able to tell the hosted whats under them. I agree other my not like that, so it of course would need to be configurable.
