From racooper at tamu.edu Wed Dec 4 06:01:55 2019 From: racooper at tamu.edu (Robert Cooper) Date: Wed, 4 Dec 2019 06:01:55 +0000 Subject: [scl.org] Issue with EL7 package in EL6 SCLO PHP repository Message-ID: <2b13792cfa7d48a687e6a694d8fe8043@tamu.edu> While updating a CentOS 6 server, I found that the package sclo-php70-php-pecl-solr2-2.4.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm is being superseded by sclo-php70-php-pecl-solr2-2.5.0-1.el7.x86_64.rpm, an el7 package. It took me a bit to realize that was the cause of the dependency errors that yum upgrade was throwing. I see both packages on http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/sclo/x86_64/sclo/sclo-php70/. It also appears that the 2.5-1 el6 package version is still in sclo testing, if that helps any. Thanks, RobertC -- Robert A. It took me a bit to realize that was the cause of the dependency errors that yum upgrade was throwing. Indeed the packages were badly tagged. Sorry for this. I just fix the tag, so the proper package should appears soon (don't know if the bad can be removed) Please notice that according to RHSCL life cycle https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/rhscl/ the rh-php70 collection have reached its EOL and will not received any update. Only rh-php72 (and soon rh-php73) are supported and only on CentOS 7 Remi > > > I see both packages on http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/sclo/x86_64/sclo/sclo-php70/. I can see the el6 package in the repo (both mirror.centos.org and the campus mirror repo at yum.tamu.edu). Looks like someone is going to have to figure out a way to remove the el7 package and propagate that out. I came across your container in https://access.redhat.com/containers/?tab=docker-file#/registry.access.redhat.com/rhscl/nginx-114-rhel7/images/1-23, and have a couple of questions. I see that it uses the s2i base image and there are some comments there about Openshift. My question is.. is this image meant to work with Openshift, or was it meant as a generic container for other platforms as well (e.g. Kubernetes)? I am trying to figure out whether I can make use of your container, or whether I will have to build it myself. Any feedback would be appreciated. There are just differences in how to put configuration and data files that nginx daemon should use. If the documentation is not perfect, we welcome any feedback how to improve it. Please, share more details about your specific use case in that case.
