Run xscreensaver-demo and click on the Screensaver Options tab. Set your
power options in there. I have Power Management check-marked. I have
Standby set to 10:00mins and the other two don't seem to matter here (1hr
and 4hrs)

I use Gnome. In Control Panel-->Screensaver I have screen saver on after
10 minutes. I have "Use Power Management" check-marked.

My screen saver never fires up, just monitor powerdown. During this
message I have changed screensaver to 5 mins instead to see if it'll work.

Bugzilla's design is not very friendly. Easiest way to search is login,
choose to enter new bug, and at the bottom of the page you can search
existing bug summary fields. To find this one, I entered DPMS and was
presented with 4 bugs and their summaries.
