<p>Probably, I have more or less the same needs and the bug #1484 I
submitted today is related to that kind of usage: ie retrieving
the topology of the physical network of our DCs.</p>
<p> With ansible network modules, we can retrieve at least the L2
connectivity using LLDP, MTU are a must have. To do next:
properties of link aggregation groups. This initial list comes
from configuration errors that have been seen in practice.</p>
<p>May be tools specific to physical networks could be used but then
comes the problem of the interface between the physical and the
virtualized worlds.<br>
</p>
<p>We cannot expect to have ansible modules independent of the
hardware vendor. But it would be nice if the skydive model
generated was more or less canonical so that tools exploiting
those data could be generic.<br>
