I added comments to the notes section of most of the apis. I'd like to make sure
we have consistent api names, and make sure each of these apis is needed, i.e.
how would these flow in a script. Lastly, let's get the parameter
lists and return values
defined before we implement them. Ok not lastly, one more thing :)
let's be mindful of not putting too many apis into a single namespace.
We support more than one level of namespaces so let's use them.
