Fwd: [Spacewalk-list] Viewing updates for CentOS in spacewalk

OK, this reply-to-sender thing is somewhat annoying, didn't reply to
the list on this :)

Also, I've logged into our Satellite in the meantime. If you go to the
system, and then the software/upgrade tab, you'll see a list of
updates available. For me, related errata were also displayed, but I
don't think that having an errata for the update is a requirement for
it to show up in there.

A management entitlement includes and supersedes an update
entitlement. If you want to use features like config file management,
etc, you'll want to add a provisioning entitlement (controlled by the
provisioning-slots field in the entitlement cert)

You would have to create and publish errata in order for anything to
be visible in the errata tab, I think. I'm not sure how to see that a
newer package is available off the top of my head without an errata (I
actually don't have a Spacewalk server yet - long story having to do
with a failed drive and broken arm :/ ). I do however maintain a RHN
Satellite server :)
