I had this same problem, first with libstdc++, which I fixed by doing as recommended, by removing libstdc++-devel. I also had this problem with gcc/cpp/libgcc. The solution here was to remove cpp and gcc, at which point I could update libgcc, then install gcc and cpp, which would bring it up to the latest version.
