[Spacewalk-list] Package update fails mysteriously

Moin list,
I'm trying to do an update via spacewalk, however the update via 'rhn_check -vvvv' fails silently. After the update the rpm database remains locked and the scheduled update remains in 'in progress' state on the spacewalk server.

Doesn't seem to be a key problem, since libgcc and tzdata updated fine. An 'rpm --rebuilddb' didn't fix this.

The last lines of 'rhn_check -vvvv' are:

D: adding 330 entries to Filemd5s index.
D: install: %post(glibc-2.5-34.i686) synchronous scriptlet start
D: install: %post(glibc-2.5-34.i686) execv(/usr/sbin/glibc_post_upgrade.i686) pid 2938

Stracing this reveals that the post script is exiting with error code 0. Any ideas on how to get some more debugging info?

Kind regards,
i.A. Mark Meyer
