Hi,

We're installing the spacewalk client tools on a new CentOS 5.4 64 bit
machine but got the following error:

# yum install yum-rhn-plugin
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror

No package cat available.
No package /etc/issue available.

yum-3.2.22-20.el5.centos.noarch from installed has depsolving problems
  --> yum conflicts with yum-rhn-plugin
Error: yum conflicts with yum-rhn-plugin
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
                        package-cleanup --dupes
                        rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.

It seems that the recent yum in CentOS 5.4 64 bit is not
cooperating/willing to work with the yum-rhn-plugin provided by the
Spacewalk team.

How can we solve this dependency problem?

Kind Regards,

Michiel
