Hello all,
I'm going to a open bachelor thesis theme "Spacewalk XML-RPC
test-suite". Do you have any ideas, comments?

== Spacewalk XML-RPC test-suite ==

Spacewalk currently knows almost 400 XML-RPC calls divided into 33 groups based on the functionality they are providing. Handlers on the server side are written in the Java and already contains some unit-tests, but these are not executed against live system and result is, that Spacewalk's XML-RPC interface is not tested sufficiently.

Goal of this work would be to create a test-suite for Spacewalk's XML-RPC interface. Resulting tests should be divided into groups and test-suite should be able to run all all subset of the tests and should generate human and machine readable output. Duration of each XML-RPC call should be measured and some profile file should be generated. Test-suite have to be executable against custom Spacewalks instances and different Spacewalk versions without false positives: XML-RPC interface is developing and some calls might have different options or output and some are completely missing in older versions.

Thank you in advance for any feedback,
Jan
