Tom,

I think you may have the "what".  KR's post made me think to check the
catalina.out file, where I found:

Headed on over to trusty google and found:

So I check my channels and found that I have two packages of the same name
with different md5sum's.  One in my weekly-sync'd base channel, and another
in the nightly updates channel.

Going to see what a cleanup+re-sync buys me.  Thanks Tom!
