When I initiate the installation of an additional software package from the Spacewalk GUI the following error is returned:
Fatal error in Python code occured [[6]]" (code -1)

When I look in the up2date logs on the client I find the following lines:
[Sun May  2 23:50:27 2010] up2date
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/sbin/rhn_check", line 283, in __run_action
    (status, message, data) = CheckCli.__do_call(method, params)
  File "/usr/sbin/rhn_check", line 275, in __do_call
    method = getMethod.getMethod(method, "/usr/share/rhn/", "actions")
  File "/usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/getMethod.py", line 78, in getMethod
    actions = __import__(modulename)
  File "/usr/share/rhn/actions/packages.py", line 266, in ?
    yum_base = YumAction()
  File "/usr/share/rhn/actions/packages.py", line 62, in __init__
    self.doConfigSetup(debuglevel=rhncli.cfg["debug"])
exceptions.AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'cfg'

File "/usr/share/rhn/actions/packages.py", line 62, in __init__
    self.doConfigSetup(debuglevel=rhncli.cfg["debug"])
[root at localhost yum]# tail -f /var/log/up2date
  File "/usr/sbin/rhn_check", line 275, in __do_call
    method = getMethod.getMethod(method, "/usr/share/rhn/", "actions")
  File "/usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/getMethod.py", line 78, in getMethod
    actions = __import__(modulename)

    self.doConfigSetup(debuglevel=rhncli.cfg["debug"])
exceptions.AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'cfg'

Does anyone have a clue what is causing this error?

I am using on the server:
spacewalk-oracle-1.0.1-1.el5

and on the client:
rhn-check-1.0.0-1.el5
rhn-client-tools-1.0.0-1.el5
rhnsd-4.9.3-1.el5
osad-5.9.31-1.el5

Rene
