python-dmidecode can be found in the epel repository and never was part of the spacewalk client repository.
Cheers,
Rene

Hi all,
When I attempted to update my rhn client install I received and error from yum that python-dmidecode was required. This appears to be in the spacewalk 1.0 repo, but not the 1.0-client repo. Should this file be added? Specifically, the rhel 5 i386 repo.
Here's the error I receive (centos-5-spacewalk is my local spacewalk client repo) :
rhn-client-tools-1.0.0-1.el5.noarch from centos-5-spacewalk has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: python-dmidecode is needed by package rhn-client-tools-1.0.0-1.el5.noarch (centos-5-spacewalk)
Error: Missing Dependency: python-dmidecode is needed by package rhn-client-tools-1.0.0-1.el5.noarch (centos-5-spacewalk)
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.
