I was getting the same thing too, but I figured it was because I tried
to upgrade from the (0.9-ish) nightly build.

It looks like this bug may have come back?

I got things working again by uninstalling all Spacewalk packages and
starting over with a clean 1.0. Obviously not an option for most
people.
