Spacewalk is not trying to manage DB instance. All Spacewalk services 
has separate init.d entries.
/usr/sbin/rhn-satellite script is provided to stop/restart/start all 
services on which Spacewalk depends. You can for sure restart all 
services one by one. But sometime (especially during developing or 
upgrading) you want to stop/start all such services and this is just 
shortcut to save you some thinking and typing.
