[Spacewalk-list] spacewalk/mrepo question

Hi All

I currently have Spacewalk 1.2 installed on CentOS 5.5. I've created
channels for CentOS5 (32 and 64 bit), and am successfully downloading
content.

I've also set-up mrepo to download RHEL5 content from RHN. This all
looks to be working well, although I've noticed something odd...

The initial 'mrepo -ugvvv' pulled down content for the RHEL5 channels
(32 and 64bit) as expected. I was then able to use rhnpush to pass this
content to Spacewalk. Everything went well and the Spacewalk web UI
shows these RH channels with the correct number of packages.

Once this process finished, I re-ran it a second time. 'mrepo -ugvvv'
stated that the repositories were not changed, and so didn't pull down
any packages from RHN (as expected), but the rhnpush output surprised me
a little (excerpt below)...

...so the data collected by mrepo hasn't changed, but the rhn-push
command finds some of the packages, but not all.

Once the rhnpush command completes, the number of packages reported in
the channel by the spacewalk webUI doesn't change.

I've since re-run the rhnpush command several times, and it always
states some packages exist, and some don't, even though mrepo data is
the same.

So, is there a reason why rhnpush is uploading these packages, even
though the mrepo data hasn't changed? (or have I missed something
obvious?)

Thanks in advance

Stephen
