I had similar issues when first setting up my CentOS 5.x profile...

1. Have you allowed EPEL (and the other channels) to be used for
kickstart installs on that kickstart profile?
(Systems > Kickstart > Profiles > $PROFILE > Kickstart Details >
Operating System)

2. Have you loaded the EPEL RPM signing key into Spacewalk?
(Systems > Kickstart > GPG and SSL Keys)

3. If yes, have you added it to the kickstart profile?
(Systems > Kickstart > Profiles > $PROFILE > System Details > GPG & SSL)

All of these need to be true before you can install a package signed
with a key other than the base distro one.
