There are a of issues around the erratas.
Currently most of them are not ideal.
There is an ongoing thread on the developers list about errata replication
that deals with some of what you are talking about.
Also I've been experimenting with the api's and foun some structural issue
my self which will result in rfe's to enhance the behavior. But sufficeve
to say replication of erratas esspecialy betwean channels doesn't work as
well as many people would like.
there are also other issues with copying channels like they don't seem to
copy package groups. A lot of this has to do with history of rhn satelite
which missed a lot of the functional day to day stuff that a ground up gpl
piece of software can potentialy catch. That being said don't expect the
current tools towork perfectly.
My best advice is for now keep the erratas betwean channels seperate via
different naming by syncing them sepperatly.
