[Spacewalk-list] Packages From Child Repo Not Being Installed

I'm having a problem where I create a Kickstart profile and provision a server using the a base CentOS 6 channel with a child channel containing the updates. I've double-checked that the profile has the child channel checked for the updates channel and in the activation key as well. The kickstart file has the correct 'repo' line in it as well, in addition to a few others (spacewalk client, local mirror of epel). After the server is done being provisioned, I am able to do a yum update. I've verified the channels were synced currently against the CentOS repos.

I have no clue what's going on, why my updates channel is not being used to install packages from. Does anyone have any idea?
