[Spacewalk-list] Proxy installation

Hello List,
I have a working SPacewalk server that manage my clients and I want to
install a spacewalk proxy to manage a specific part of the network.
Reading https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/HowToInstallProxy I
have a doubt:
Do I have to configure the server to point Spacewalk public
repositories or do I have to register the server to my spacewalk
server, and then install the proxy from the spacewalk server?

I think that there are not really any differences but I just want to be sure.
