Rhnsd is adjusting first check by random +- 50% to the interval value;
to better distribute load from clients. So in your case the first check
can occure in 12-36 hours from rhnsd restart.
% And what may be the reason that sometimes (I've seen that in logs) rhnsd daemon executes not one but few rhn_check processes and CPU utilization at that moment is about 90%?
