Yes, it is possible, we have installed spacewalk on a CentOS server and
then created several channels and repository both for CentOS and SLES. I
followed the instructions of Sabine (the mail was of 12 November 2012)
and all seems working. If you have problems finding it I can
copy-and-paste the mail.
