[Spacewalk-list] How to register a client

I have created a base channel with sub channels 
 
1. base channel  is call         RHN5_Linux 
     Label is called                RHN_Linux_Test   
2. update channel is called   RHN5_Updates
      Label is called               RHN5_Updates_Linux
 
1st Question: How can I register new clients to my base channel?
            A) Is it better to perform this from the command line?
            B) Is it better to perform this task from the GUi  
 
2nd  Question  How can I stop the updates from showing on all the installed clients? 
 
3rd  How can I push packages to clients through the GUI and the command line?
