[Spacewalk-list] OSAD communication issues

I am seeing the following issue on my spacewalk install (Spacewalk 1.8 , PostgreSQL 8.4.13, Scientific Linux 6.3)

- Client registers with Spacewalk, all works 100%
- After a while OSAD communication stops working (OSAD status offline for client)
- When running osa-dispatcher (on server) and osad (on client) using maximum verbose level I see communication going between server and client
- Scheduled actions are however only picked up by rhn_check , not by osad
- Sometimes deleting /var/lib/jabber/db/* on server and restarting jabber + osa-dispatcher fixes the issue
- If not, only re-registering clients makes osad work again

The verbose output of osa-dispatcher and osad don't show any obvious errors such as SSL issues.
When browsing through bug reports I can't find anything recent either.
Has anybody else experienced these issues?
