So I tried this and spacewalk-repo-sync synced the same 126 packages
again but died with a:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/spacewalk-repo-sync", line 100, in ?
    sys.exit(abs(main() or 0))

    raise Errors.RepoError, msg
yum.Errors.RepoError: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: centos-5-os-x86_64. Please verify its path and try again

If I start a sync, no new packages are being sync'd, that said it still
dies with the same error.

If I point it to my own repo, it goes on and doesn't try to sync
anything new. So it would appear my own copy is somewhat corrupted but
I don't really know where to look...
