Hi Team,

We have setup spacewalk software on RHEL6.1 server.

Our goal is to use spacewalk to patch RHEL 6 and above server.

I am trying to upload content to spacewalk and I need help in finding the patch repository for RHEL 6.X version.

Thanks & Regards
Arun

Michael, could I trouble you to put any thoughts on the utility of this RFE into https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1043987 ?

Just so RedHat knows there's some community desire for it,

Thanks,

Jeff

	Hello,

We are also very interested in having a function to allow the predefinition of systems before kickstarting them. Something similar to the functions in cobbler web interface would be great.

If it helps to expedite that we could send a RFE.

	regards

In my virtualized only environment where I use spacewalk for provisioning I manage to do this by a combination of manually configured MAC address for the virtual machine combined with a DHCP server that provides IP addresses for virtual machines based on their MAC address.
Next to this I configured DNS that allows me to lookup the address and get the hostname and configure NICs. This works fine for now, but it would be great to ease this as this takes a considerable amount of time to setup and an current acceptable amount of time to manage.

It would be a great idea to address this someway in future developments of spacewalk or currenltly developed Katello environment.

	Rick.

Onderwerp: [Spacewalk-list] New system provisioning in Cobbler/Spacewalk
For provisioning new systems in my existing Spacewalk infrastructure, is
there a better practice way than to run cobbler system add from the CLI?
That is, am I missing a menu option somewhere in Spacewalk to input a
new IP, MAC address, hostname, and Kickstart profile for a host?

If I'm not missing anything and such a menu option does not exist, is it
on the radar as a feature request?

		Thanks,
		Jeff
