Hello Spacewalk list!
I've got a rather peculiar issue with my Spacewalk server - I can't search
for Packages or Errata. Systems and Documentation search both work. All
attempts to search for packages result in a match of "No packages."
The packages are indeed there - I can find them in the channels themselves,
filter the channels and find packages, install them on enrolled systems,
and push new packages into the channels.
I can also find the packages in spacecmd (though it's my understanding that
this uses a different API entry point to accomplish that search).
If I stop the rhn-search service, I get "Could not connect to search
server," as expected.
Nothing of interest got logged in /var/log/rhn/search, though cranking up
the log levels to DEBUG finally got this error puked out:
INFO | jvm 1 | 2013/05/21 16:25:35 | 2013-05-21 16:25:35,008
[Thread-7] ERROR com.redhat.satellite.search.index.IndexManager - no
segments* file found in
org.apache.lucene.store.FSDirectory@/usr/share/rhn/search/indexes/errata:
files:
...though I have no idea if that is related or not.
System info/background: Spacewalk 1.8; CentOS 6.4 (Final). System had been
moved from a Virtualized CentOS 5 system to this hardware CentOS 6 system.
Thanks for your help!
