Spacewalk 2.2 on RHEL 5 (CentOS 5) and RHEL 7 (CentOS 7)
Due to missing package dependencies in EPEL 7 beta, we were not able to
deliver Spacewalk 2.2 on RHEL 7 (CentOS 7). Spacewalk 2.2 therefore still
supports running on RHEL 5 and CentOS 5 as a base operating system. Support
for RHEL 7 and CentOS 7 should be available in next Spacewalk release, at
which point support for RHEL 5 and CentOS 5 will be dropped. Note that RHEL 7
/ CentOS 7 clients are supported with Spacewalk 2.2, just not running
Spacewalk itself on those operating systems.
Solaris and Monitoring Support - Deprecation Notice
The Spacewalk team is looking in future releases to drop support for Solaris
clients and the Monitoring component of Spacewalk. They continue to be
supported in their current state for the Spacewalk 2.2 release. Anyone
currently using either of the capabilities may wish to consider alternatives
for their needs.
User community, reporting issues
To reach the user community with questions and ideas, please use mailing list
spacewalk-list at redhat.com. On this list, you can of course also discuss
issues you might find when installing or using Spacewalk, but please do not be
surprised if we ask you to file a bug at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Spacewalk
with more details or full logs.
Thank you for using Spacewalk.
