[Spacewalk-list] Satellite 6 / Spacewalk roadmap

Spacewalk will be the upstream for the Satellite 5.x product.

Foreman/Katello will be the upstream for the Satellite 6 family.

Both projects will run separately (no code merge), and you'd have to
anticipate Red Hat putting much less effort into Spacewalk once
Satellite 6 is released.  I would expect to see some Satellite 5.x
releases (Satellite 5.7 perhaps) to support security patching, but
Satellite 6 is the future for Red Hat.  Once customers migrate to 6, I
would expect to see the Satellite 5.x family retired (if that's the
right phrase).

Per RH's docs, Satellite 6 is going to manage
Puppet/Foreman/Katello/Pulp/Candlepin to provide services. Does this
mean / is it intended that Spacewalk will no longer be the upstream for
Satellite 6+? Or is there likely to be a large sync of the Satellite 6
code into something like a Spacewalk 3 branch when it's released?
