After you pre-cache the rpms on the proxy, install something on your 
client while running 'tail -f /var/log/httpd/access_log 
/var/log/httpd/ssl_access_log' on the Spacewalk server.

You should not see anything that looks like "GET 
/XMLRPC/GET-REQ/<channel>/getPackage/<rpm>".
