Hi,
I have a problem concerning Spacewalk-WebUI and Postgres backend.
Everytime I want to copy loads of packages to Channels of Organisations, which aren't "owner" of the source Channel but in the Trust with the "owner"-Organisation my spacewalk-service is getting slow and then breaks up. A spacewalk-service restart is needed - and nothing has happened.
Procedure to reproduce:
· Create Dist-Base-Repo and trust-shared Channels with count of packages >10 000 in Spacewalk-Default-Organisation.
· Create another Organisation and put it in the Trust.
· Log in to the new Orga
· Create an "empty" Channel and add/copy packages from the Channel in the trust (Package count between 10 000 to about 16 000)
· Watch Postgres getting greedy and spacewalk-service/WebUI breaking down.
My terminal-output shows only one Postgres-process. After about 15s this Process is getting greedy and kills the service. The service is running but has no function any longer. Strange behavior. Is there a way to get this Postgres task more performant or even multithreaded - Its definetly no lack of performance of the machine.
Regards,
