You need to distribute the SSL cert to your clients along the lines of

# Install the SSL certificate from the server
yum install http://spacewalk.lan/pub/rhn-org-trusted-ssl-cert-1.0-1.noarch.rpm#
Register clients
rhnreg_ks --serverUrl=https://spacewalk.lan/XMLRPC
--sslCACert=/usr/share/rhn/RHN-ORG-TRUSTED-SSL-CERT
--activationkey=1-key --username $spacewalkusername
