Hi Robert,

This error is hiding the real error which is somewhere else. Check the logs on the Spacewalk server (/var/log/tomcat6/* and /var/log/rhn/*) and check the logs on the client (/var/log/up2date and /var/log/yum.log) to see if you can find the more detailed cause of why the Python is throwing the generic error.

Also, please send me the SR# offline so I can review internally.

Cheers,
Avi

I am using Oracle’s build of Spacewalk 2.2 and there were some spacewalk updates in Oracle spacewalk channe this week, and I am now all up to date on all patches for Spacewalk 2.2 available from Oracle channels. Yet still seeing a problem Wide spread in my environment. Out of OEL 203 servers scheduled over 158 Failed due the same error “Fatal error in Python code occurred [[6]]”
