[Spacewalk-list] How to verify yum repo paths

Hello,

I tried to kickstart CentOS7 with Spacewalk 2.3 and 2.5 and both worked.

If it says that group Base does not exist it looks like you have broken
repodata (comps.xml)? Can clients consume content from your CentOS channel?

I am not sure what urls you want to verify... The only yum repo url I have in my kickstart file is child channel:
repo --name=clone-spacewalk-client7 --baseurl=.../ks/dist/child/clone-spacewalk-client7/centos7-repo
and if I take this url and put in new repo-file in /etc/yum.repos.d/ then yum repolist successfully dowloads repodata.

I tried to access other URLs what are in my kistart file
# curl --head .../ks/dist/org/1/centos7
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
# wget -q .../cblr/svc/op/trig/mode/pre/profile/cestos7kskvm:1:SpacewalkDefaultOrganization" -O -
True
# curl --head .../download/package/84f33350d68578447fd74211f3f272258fe9efc3/0/1/6942/pyOpenSSL-0.13.1-3.el7.x86_64.rpm
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
and all are fine.

Regards,
Ales

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] How to verify yum repo paths

Hi SW list

I tried posting to this list last week but no-one responded so I thought I'd try again but distil my main questions and this message down to its most basic form which I hope will increase my chance of getting a response.

First, can anyone confirm or deny it is possible to deploy Centos 7 with Spacewalk 2.3? Everything seems to say it should be possible but I'd like to know there's not any showstopping bugs that could prevent my success that might necessitate we upgrade SW if we want to deploy C7. Our SW server has been happily deploying Centos 6 for years so it is clearly working, at least for C6.

Secondly, I believe my failure to deploy C7 with SW 2.3 is down to misconfigured yum repos going off the errors I see in packaging.log. How do I verify my yum repos are correctly configured ie how do I verify the repo paths that SW has placed it my test C7 KS file? The paths SW has created don't seem to match up with any dir structure on our SW server and I don't know what dirs SW/cobbler share and how they are referenced etc.

Thanks
