[Spacewalk-list] Problems with jabberd Database (mysql)

Good day,

i got a question related to the jabberd database.

As suggested on many websites we switched away from berkleydb, since 
that was not considered stable.

Our decision was made for mysql.
Unfortunately the queue table is growing rapidly fast.
We are talking about
* 500 queries constant per second
* 1k new rows per minute
* with around 240 hosts connected
* database will grow several GBs fast


Is this behavior normal?
Is mysql not advised should we switch to sqlite or pgsql?

We are running spacewalk 2.6 on centos 7.
