[Spacewalk-list] Future of spacewalk in light of satellite 6

Hi all,

This is a generic question about future of spacewalk.

Now that we know that Red Hat is shutting down RHN in July and moving to
RHSM, I wanted to know whether that is going to affect spacewalk
development/maintenance in any way? I know that spacewalk can be managed
with RHSM and that is what I am currently using.

What I am anxious about (want to know) is that whether existing spacewalk
infrastructure is or could be going to affected with any change in how RHSM
works or in future may work? The reason of this mail is to know about
'future-proofing' of spacewalk.

Another question is that once we move to RHSM, any existing set up of
spacewalk with RHN is going to fail, isn't it? I know of environments who
are using mrepo to manage repository cloning and since mrepo is exclusively
dependent on RHN, I assume that those environments will have significant
problems. Am I correct in this theory?

Any kind of suggestion/thought/guidance would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

P.S. I know about pulp for doing what spacewalk does. I intend to give it a
try. But what I am more worried about is any possible introduction of
breakage in existing spacewalk setup after moving to RHSM.
