Nuno,

   Under the "Variables" section of the kickstart, change this line:

media_path=/var/satellite/rhn/kickstart/1/centos6.base

To:

media_path=/ks/dist/org/1/centos6.base

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] Error in kickstart path via spacewalk configuration wizard [External]

Hello All,

First of all thank you for a wonderful product!
I have an issue with spacewalk and kickstart - and I might be doing an error somewhere in the process - but when I try to boot form PXE I get an 404 error, saying that the install path for the distro was not found.

I've dug around and it seems that my issue is caused by the kickstart referring to a wrong path on the URL section.

For example:

In creating a new kickstart profile, the wizard tells me that the default download location will be /ks/dist/org/1/centos6.base
However, in the kickstart file itself it points to another place all together: http://fabricadeenchidos.net.local/var/satellite/rhn/kickstart/1/centos6.base

Although it is a valid system path, it is not a valid URL for it is not published at the apache serving spacewalk.

If I manually change the kickstart file, to the second option, the PXE boots perfectly into install, and installs the system.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Nuno Higgs
