[Spacewalk-list] newbie pushing package to client failure

Hi Newbie here,

I have installed spacewalk2.8 on CentOS 7 and have one client registered (also CentOS 7). I was testing by trying to install a new rpm on the client. I get a generic error of "Fatal error in Python code occurred [[6]]". After scouring around for others with the same problem I was able to discern this could be several things but only the generic error code will show. I have looked at all of my jabber and osa configurations both on the server and the client. I also looked in the logs to find any errors there. I don't see an error anywhere but it does look like the client times out. In particular it concerns me when I force the scheduled activity to run on the client by typing in "rhn_check -vvv" (otherwise just sits in pending) the output announces that the client is going to go out to Red Hat repositories and look for package. I was assuming that it would say what channel it was assigned to... anyone see anything wrong with this? Since it appears to time out trying to find and install the package, I think this might be the error spot?

I can check the system config in the GUI and it clearly shows that it is subscribed to a channel.

Regards,
Jen
