If you do a search for some of my posts to this list, you'll see that I
wrote up what I used to set up our channels for Ubuntu. If you're dealing
with Ubuntu 16, 18 and up, you will also want to look at Philicious' web
log post on scripts to support apt-get secure (including all the comments
which contain a lot of important updates).

SUSE can be trickier. If you're talking about OpenSUSE, then I haven't
tried to use those but I think there are some pre-configured channel
setups that you can load (I forget the command, sorry). I also think you
can do SLES 11 out of the box (or with some minimal changes out there on
the web - I think it's been over a year since I did it so I forget), but I
had to write some custom patches for the Spacewalk server to support SLES
12 and SLES 15 package syncs, which I haven't had time yet to prepare as a
pull request.

Cheers,

Paul-Andre
