There's been a bunch of posts about Jabberd being unreliable when working
with a Berkeley db. See the second paragraph in this post

 I had similar problems until I switched to use postgres. It looks from
your extracts that you're using sqlite or BerkeleyDB

Therefore I would suggest that you follow the instructions in that link
and migrate your jabber database to the same postgres server as your
Spacewalk db. My jabberd problems went away when I did that.
