Yes, it is possible.  You put all the information in 
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0:5

DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static
IPADDR=<some IP>
NETMASK=<netmask>
GATEWAY=<gateway>
ONBOOT=<yes or no>

See /usr/share/doc/initscripts-6.67/sysconfig.txt for information on the 
file syntax.
