Even better:
Put the main nic in ifcfg-eth0 and create a ifcfg-eth0-range file
that contains: 

IPADDR_START='192.168.1.1'
IPADDR_END='192.168.1.5'
CLONENUM_START='1'

where 192.168.1.1 is the first address of the range and 192.168.1.5 the last.
Run 'service network restart' and voila!
