Re: automated file transfer between two servers



Well, to articulate what I am trying to do to make sure I am doing
everything correctly:

as my user account on the SOURCE machine:

1) generated the key(placing the id_rsa.pub in ~/.ssh/):
#ssh-keygen -t rsa
(NULL passphrase)

2) copied the key to the DESTINATION machine.

When the id_rsa.pub file made it to the DESTINATION machine, I cat'd the
file into the authorized_keys.

3) I then tried to make a connect from the SOURCE to the DESTINATION as
my user account, and I got the errors.
