freepascal rpm

I went to sourceforge.net and grabbed the rpms for the
freepascal compiler. Now that I have installed it I see
something weird:

$ rpm -ql fpc | less

/usr
/usr/bin
/usr/bin/bin2obj
/usr/bin/data2inc
/usr/bin/delp
/usr/bin/fd2pascal
/usr/bin/fpc
....[other files in /usr/bin]

/usr/doc
/usr/doc/fpc-1.0.6
/usr/doc/fpc-1.0.6/Makefile
[and others]

Now I am concerned that an rpm -e fpc could hose my system by
removing my "/usr".

Any comments ?
